Windows 7 : Change file explorer default to My Computer

When we click on the file explorer in WIN7 libraries folder opens, but I am a die hard fan of Win XP so I am habituated of ‘My Computer’. No doubt you can open My Computer from the desktop icon or the start menu but wouldn’t it be cool if we link file explorer to My Computer. For doing so right click on the file explorer program go to properties.

You will get a window like this.

2

Now on the target text field remove everything and paste this.

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

Click OK, and its done. 🙂

If you want to return to the libraries again as the defaut of file explorer then follow the same step and paste this

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,::{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}

in the target text field and it will make libraries as default for file explorer.
